Publication
Name Test-Observation Well Near Mansfield, Washington
- Description, Stratigraphic Relationships and
Preliminary Results
ID # 631
Authors John H. Bush Jr., Jay V.
Anderson, James W. Crosby III, and Barbara A. Siems
Publication Date December 1972
Produced By Washington State
University - College of Engineering Research Division
Summary A 760 foot
test-observation well drilled near Mansfield, WA by the Washington State DOE is
one of several
drilled to date. These
test wells provide information on ground-water conditions where data from
existing
wells are incomplete and
fail to provide adequate guidance for management of the area's ground-water
resource. This long term project includes construction
of the well, testing, and periodically collecting data
from test-observation
wells in selected areas of the state. The project, part of a continuing
cooperative
program of Water
Resources Investigations in Washington, is financed jointly by the USGS of the
WADOE.
The wells are located where there is a need
for ground-water data for water-management purposes and
where data cannot be
obtained by other means.

Monitoring Report for Wateryear 1993
ID # 572
Authors Dave Hallock and Brad
Hopkins
Publication Date September 1994
Produced By Washington State
Department of Ecology
Summary The Washington State
Department of Ecology has operated a long-term Ambient Water Quality Monitoring
Program since 1970. The
program consists of monthly water quality monitoring for conventional
parameters at 79 stations
on rivers and streams within Washington State. The primary goals of the
program are to
characterize stream water quality and to evaluate spatial and temporal changes
in water
quality (trends).
The purpose of this
report is to describe the Wateryear 1993 (WY 1993) monitoring program, provide
a
brief overview of water
quality in Washington State in WY 1993, discuss data quality, and to present
results.
