                                 Creston, Washington.  The study area falls within the Artemisia-Agropyron vegetation zone as described in

                                  Daubenmire (1942).  Sharp-tailed grouse are restricted at present to the so-called channeled scablands of

                                  this area.  Fall collections are from an area north of the study area in Okanogan County, also within the

                                 Artemisia-Agropyron vegetation zone.
